About Us

Magicians for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (META) was formed in 1998 to fight for animal rights where many have ignored. Animals in the magic industry have often been forced at gunpoint by their insidious slavers to perform acts deemed to embarrassing for humanity.

Our members include both magicians and the general public who are fanatics of animal activism. As of March 2008, we are 1.2 million strong which includes members from over 50 countries.

META works though public protests, intimidation, and even magically making enemies disappear to bring peace to the animal kingdom.

TURTLES MISTREATED IN THEATRE SHOW

Singapore – One of our members has discovered an evil scheme to enslave turtles for inhumane entertainment. “Just Kiki Kidding!” plans to have a crawling turtle on its back according to the image on their production blog, http://justkikikidding.blogspot.com. SAAM immediately launched a protest campaign around the world to stop such a despicable act. Shame on you Kiki Tay Productions!

Protests in Singapore have been concentrated at the show’s venue, Raffles Hotel in hopes of convincing the hotel not to host “Just Kiki Kidding!” Demonstrations against the show have also been organized in Japan and even Ukraine.

BARBARIC MAGICIAN USES FUR

Singapore – Kiki Tay’s cruelty and evil knows no bounds as he commissions a new fur coat for his upcoming show, “Just Kiki Kidding!”

The offending coat is made from the endangered species Barneylius Dinosinious, commonly known as Barney. Our research suggests that only 200 of such animals exist in the world today. We estimate that 50 Barneys were needlessly sacrificed to make Kiki’s coat due to his rather large size.

Members of META, it is time to stop Kiki before he cause Barney to be extinct. We must endeavor so that future generations can appreciate Barney on television (Dodos do not get much airtime). Stop this atrocity which is JUST KIKI KIDDING!
